![]() Apparently, the MBA Mid 2013 spec had an Apple proprietary M.2 drive setup that required the M.2 drive have a 12x16 pin config. Knowing the high price of service centers, I tried searching for DIY solutions that may help my case. Thankfully, all of my important files are in my Desktop Computer since the MBA didn't really have the capacity to keep them all. The rep also told me that cloning/recovering data from the old SSD would be nearly impossible because of its current state, and it was much more cost effective to have a fresh install of MacOS. The said replacement was going to cost me roughly $350 to replace the SSD (to another 128gb ssd) and to install the latest MacOS. Sadly, the technician told me that the SSD was indeed in its last breath and it had to be replaced. First option that I did was to go to an Apple Service Center to have it checked. ![]() Opening apps such as safari (which opens instantly about a few months before) takes about 20 seconds to load up. It got wonky when I tried booting it up and it took about 20 mins in the Apple loading screen (it does boot up, rather slowly). About a month ago, I've been having problems with my 2013 11in MBA.
